Our national training program is ANSI National Accreditation Board-Accredited. This means our training has met rigorous standards and is broadly accepted through the US.

How long is my Food Handlers Card valid?

It is valid for 3 years. At the end of that period, you will need to retake the course and pass the exam. eFoodhandlers makes that process simple and straightforward.

How many times can I take the exam?

You can take the exam up to 2 times. There is not an extra charge for retaking the course/exam a second time.

Alabama Policy

The State of Alabama requires the person-in-charge is to pass a Certified Manager's Course (eFoodhandlers does not currently offer this course). The State does not require Basic Food handlers training although several counties have specific rules that may preclude eFoodHandlers' online course. Contact your local Environmental Health Department for specifics on required certifications for your specific job and locality.
